Leap before you are ready…my first branding campaign.

Lifestyle Branding Photography Campaign for Hellman’s

My first branding shoot was decades ago for Hellman’s Mayonnaise. I was a young photographer just out of college and one of my family photography clients who at the time also happened to be an executive at Ogilvy (I am forever grateful to you) recommended me for the job. Did I feel ready? Nope. Was I scared? Uh huh. Did I leap? Absolutely. I told the visual story of Hellman’s Mayonnaise; from a farm full of chickens to eggs to mayonnaise to a sandwich party full of happy children. Needless to say there was a very steep learning curve, and I was doing it in real time for a client I had never even dreamed of working for. To this day, I am really proud of what I was able to deliver.   I designed, styled, and photographed a campaign that connected a product to its story and Hellmans to its audience. It was organic and effective. To Hellmans it was just one of many large campaigns. To me, it was the beginning of something that would change the course of my career. Decades later, I provide that same level of service to local businesses, brands, creatives, and entrepreneurs. I tell stories and to get to call that work is something I’m grateful for every day.
